Regional Sports Complex Metalist - multi-purpose stadium in Kharkov, Ukraine. Metalist - the central stadium of the city. It is primarily used for football matches, is the venue for home matches of FC Metalist (Kharkiv). Stadium after the renovation: 41,307 spectators. Stadium Party of European Football Championship 2012. Also, the stadium takes some matches of national football team. The stadium and the stadium box office pavilion entered in the Register of Cultural and National Heritage of Ukraine.
Location
The stadium Metalist is situated on the street Plekhanovkaya, 65 in Kominternovsky urban district of Kharkov city. On the south side stadium is situated Str. Plekhanivskaya the east - Str. Hramovaya, on the west - st. Vlasovkiy.
In the immediate vicinity of the stadium are the four exit the metro station "Sports" and three exit the metro station "Metrobudivnykiv behalf Vashchenko." Near the stadium there is a tram stop (route number 5, 8). Involves four bus routes: 232э, 244э/т, 251э, 260э/т
The stadium is located 7,5 km from the airport, 5 km from the railway station "Kharkov-Passenger, 1,2 km to the bus station.

Stadium reconstruction
In 2007, started full reconstruction of the stadium. The purpose - meeting the requirements of UEFA stadium for the European Football Championship 2012. Were reconstructed and southern stands. The East Stand was razed and built anew.
The old shelter, which is covered only part of the western and northern stands, was dismantled. The new canopy is supported by 24 iron V-shaped supports, which are installed around the stadium. Thus, the roof does not create a burden on the rostrum. Canopy is made of iron sheets, and saluted - from translucent plastic. Unlike the old roof, new awning covers all the places in the stadium until the first series.
Were removed four masts lighting. The new lighting system is located directly on the roof of the stadium. Illumination of the field is 2400 lux. To ensure the energy needs of the stadium was built power substation 500 kW.
The stadium has two LED displays Barco, and LED advertising line, which is located on the perimeter of the field from the northern, eastern and southern stands. Also, the stadium is equipped with a camera-spider. The operator, controlling a camera can capture action from anywhere in the field, both from ground level and aerial view.
Following the requirements of safety of spectators, the territory around the stadium was divided into sectors that are shielded from each other and have their own outlets. These are equipped with 86 turnstiles: 74 Full Height, 12 standard, 2 for disabled persons. Finishing work on the facade of the East Stand, June 20, 2009.

According to Alexander Yaroslavsky, the cost of reconstruction of the stadium is 600 million hryvnas, of which 140 million received from the state budget, 80 million from the regional budget, 50 million from the city budget.
The opening of the renovated stadium passed December 5, 2009. The calendar of the Premier League on this day was scheduled home match Metalist from Kiev Obolon, who won the people of Kiev with the score 0:1. This day coincided with the 50-year anniversary of President FC Metalist Alexander Yaroslavsky. The opening ceremony was attended by 40,000 spectators, as well as a number of dignitaries: President Viktor Yushchenko, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych, the director of Euro 2012, Martin Cullen.
