Kyiv Golden GatesGolden Gate - the constructed facility during the Kievan Rus. This is one of the few buildings that extant. Kiev Golden gate included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Golden Gate was built in 1164 during the reign of Grand Duke of Kyiv Yaroslav the Wise. Cues of the day surrounded by high earthen ramparts with deep ditches on the outside.

Kiev-Pechersk LavraKiev-Pechersk Lavra on the high hills of the right bank of the Dnieper rises majestically crowned with golden domes of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra - the inheritance of the Blessed Virgin, the cradle of monasticism in Russia and the stronghold of the Orthodox faith.

Pechersk Lavra Monastery was founded in the eleventh century and was built during the next nine centuries.
