UEFA experts will test the readiness of Ukrainian stadiums
September 6-9 UEFA expert committee headed by the Director of the Department of UEFA's stadium and security Marc Timmer will visit Ukraine with next inspection visit.
During the visit, representatives of UEFA and the local organizing committee of Euro-2012 Ukraine will view the progress of the projects stadiums in Kiev and Lviv in preparation for the European Football Championship in 2012.
The expert commission will hold meetings with project teams of Olympic NSC and Lviv stadium also assess the progress of construction work at these facilities, which today are a priority of UEFA, as reported the press service of the IOC for Euro-2012 Ukraine.
According to Director of Euro 2012 in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky, the visit will take place on the eve of the meeting of the Supervisory Board of the European Football Union, which will be held September 21, 2010 at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, chaired by UEFA President Michel Platini.
"Ukraine should not reduce the rate of construction of infrastructure facilities in general, and above all - stadiums. It is important that the objects were commissioned in the summer of 2011, it will allow for pre-testing, sports arenas," - said Lubkivsky.
Tournament Director also drew attention to the fact that now need to prepare the management of the operational teams, to conduct training and education.
This week also will visit the UEFA delegation headed by the Executive Director of Marketing and Media Management UEFA Philip Margraf. During the visit the experts will hold meetings with Ukrainian companies who wish to join the project Euro-2012 as national sponsors.
Earlier, UEFA President Michel Platini said that Ukraine's preparations for Euro 2012 have positive changes.
