Vice Prime Minister on Euro-2012 Boris Kolesnikov said that at least half of the total number of tourists who will visit Ukraine as part of the final part of the European Football Championship 2012 will come from Russia.

"We estimate that about 50% of tourists to Euro-2012 will come from Russia," - the official said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

Vice Prime Minister explained that this could contribute to the proximity of the place of conduct "because of Donetsk to Rostov, about 200 km, from Kharkov and Belgorod, about 90 km, and visa-free regime between our countries.

"While we are happy to see any visitors from all over the world," - said Kolesnikov.

Also, Deputy Prime Minister predicted that during Euro 2012 in great demand among the guests and participants of the competition will enjoy souvenirs from the national Ukrainian elements.

"To be in demand, and various national souvenirs, even a cottage industry. And we are not talking so much about the souvenirs with the symbols of the UEFA Cup or the number of local coloring - everything Ukrainian: Ukrainian and everything associated with Ukraine will be extremely necessary," - he said.

Kolesnikov believes that the successful use of opportunities offered by the Euro-2012 for small businesses, primarily in the area of catering and trade, must begin now.

Earlier, Kolesnikov also stated that in preparation to Euro-2012 there are no financial problems.
