The observer delegation, headed by the UEFA General Secretary of the Union Gianni Infantino, arrived this morning on a working visit to Kharkiv. In the city airport, guests were welcomed by the governor of the Kharkiv region, Mikhail Dobkin, Acting Mayor of Kharkov Gennady Kernes and chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Council Sergey Chernov.

After familiarization with the process of modernization of the airport "Kharkiv" and inspection of the stadium Metalist UEFA general secretary shared his impression from what he seen with the media. According to him, Kharkiv football arena is ready to host matches of the European level.

"I was very impressed with the infrastructure of the city, namely the airport and the stadium Metalist. Do you have a beautiful stadium, which can take matches the European standard, and a very active president of football club Alexander Yaroslavsky - all this contributes to the success and advancement of football "- said Gianni Infantino.

Also a football functionary has said that Kharkiv has a good European airport. "I'm not an expert on the airport, but travel a lot, and I can say with certainty: in Kharkov - in fact, a good European airports", - he said.

However, Gianni Infantino said that in preparation for the 2012 football championships has many unresolved issues. Among them, in particular, those related to logistics and accommodation of visitors tournament.

"The most important issue in preparation for Euro-2012 - a reception championship. However, after his two-day visit to Ukraine, I am absolutely confident in the local authorities and residents of all host cities. We make history together. And I am sure that the European football championship will be a bright holiday for Ukraine ", - added Dzh.Infantino.
