For the football championship Euro-2012 we will create the official fan zone on the Liberty square and 3 others in various parts of the city. In particular, on the Marshal Zhukov ave. near the Palace of Sports, and on the Traktorostroiteley ave. in Victory Park, and in the Shevchenko garden.

According to Oksana Kovyarova (deputy director of the Department of Culture, Kharkiv City), official fan zone will be fully in charge of UEFA, who pushes all the requirements for landscaping. The whole area will be fenced and can accommodate at least 20 thousand people. Near the Lenin monument will be mounted on stage and on the perimeter established in September of multimedia screens to watch the matches.

It will also operate food items and medicine, media center and kiosks with souvenirs. According to preliminary calculations, will be installed about 150 composting toilets. The company plans to create a locker for the things that, for security reasons cannot make the territory of the fan zones.

"Visitors will be regulated by capacity of the fan zone. Checking of wishing people to enter to fans territory will be carried out at five entrances. We also consider the possibility of installing metal detectors,"- noted Kovyarova.

"At present, defines the parameters of all objects for the organization of the fan zones, and then will be drafted. We will contact the architects, to universities, to all who can make some suggestions, since the concept is still under development "- summed up the deputy director.
