Euro-2012 will take place without the football hooligans?
Interior Ministry has almost completed work on the development of a common information base of the persons who committed offenses during football matches. At present, this database recorded more than 700 football hooligans.
Ironically, the greatest threat during the games does not create local fans, and foreign football fans. Therefore, for the successful holding of Euro-2012, during the previous championship years, they will also be recorded. And actually during a football forum in 2012 the passage of these individuals to the Ukrainian stadiums will be restricted. Also, law enforcement agencies of Ukraine shall exchange information with police from other participating countries with respect to individuals who could potentially ruin football feast for others.
At present day, every member country of the European Union has a National Football paragraph Police (NFIP), which is empowered to grant foreign guardians of order information that can be taken to prevent violations during the football tournament of international level.
Special laboratory, which operates at Dnepropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, is now studying the European experience of the National Centers for football hooliganism. These studies will acquaint Ukrainian law enforcement officers with the experience of their colleagues, also helps to find the best way to integrate Ukraine into the European information exchange system of football offenders.
Creating the Interior Ministry database of football hooligans and cooperation with foreign counterparts in the system NFIP will prevent the majority of offenses on Ukrainian stadiums during the matches of Euro-2012.
