Cabinet instructed the State Border and Customs to simplify the control for the representatives of UEFA, the participants Euro 2012, the media and fans in November 2011. This information is available to Cabinet of Ministers direction № 1687 of 18 August.

By this order the Government approved a plan of measures to simplify border and customs control during preparation and holding of European Football Championship in 2012.

In particular, until December 1 State Border Service, Customs and the National Agency for the preparation of EURO 2012 to streamline the procedure for border and customs controls UEFA representatives and delegates from the national teams, commercial partners, teams, media representatives and members of organized groups of fans, and since November 1, 2011 to introduce it in action.

The government also instructed the State Border Service, Customs, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Economy and National Agency for the preparation and holding of Euro-2012 until 1 September to prepare a proposal for checkpoints and additional technical means of financial support for personnel who will participate in the control.

As reported, President Viktor Yanukovych considers necessary to introduce a pan-European standards border crossing to the European soccer championship to be held in Ukraine in 2012.
