Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov said that the Government have started negotiating for the purchase of six new high-speed trains for the championship of the 2012 European Cup.
Curator of Euro 2012 underlined that day trains will significantly short the distance between the host cities of championship. "The distance between Lviv and Kyiv can be overcome in about three hours, between Kiev and Donetsk - about 5-6 hours" - said Deputy Prime Minister.
However, we must develop appropriate routes - this task is engaged by UkrZaliznytsia.
According to Boris Kolesnikov, high-speed trains - are mechanism for solving the traffic problem in Ukraine's preparations for Euro-2012. "UEFA understands that Ukraine have a lot of territory. And build all the roads by European standards - is impossible. Therefore, we must look for alternative ways of solving this problem "- summed up Kolesnikov.
